Question / Issue
How do I Create an A/B Performance(Split)Test Mailing?

Answer / Solution
  1. Login to AgencyBuzz.
  2. Click on the Event button in the Create New section of the toolbar. You will choose One Time Newsletter or Drip from the drop down menu.
  3. Give the event a name in the Event Name. This will be used to reference this event within the AgencyBuzz system.
  4. Select A/B Performance Mailing from the Send Type.
  5. Select the appropriate Event Type to fit your needs.
  6. Select Pending from the Event Status drop down. If you would like to save this item as a Draft (to make it Inactive) you can select Draft from the drop down.
  7. Drag two mailing items from the right hand box of available mailings to the left hand box. Also, you can click the left single arrow to add one highlighted mailing at a time.
    • You want the content of both mailings to be generally the same with either two different calls to action, two different subject lines, etc. to compare which is more effective with your audience.
  8. Select the percentage of the Testing Pool Size you would like.
    • The first mailing will go to first percentage and the second mailing will go to the other percentage. The application will automatically choose which contacts get which mailings.
  9. Select how many days you want to wait before you send the more successful mailing to the contacts that received the poor performing mailing first from the Wait Duration drop down menu.
  10. Select which Determining Metric you want the application to compare the mailings from the drop down menu.
  11. Once finished, click the Save button in Actions section of the toolbar. Alternatively you can click the Save & Close button to return to the main screen.
