Question / Issue
How can I had embedded video from sources such as YouTube onto my site?

Answer / Solution

It is often needed to add third party code HTML snippets to the console to allow third party widgets such as chat, weather or newsfeeds.  You can easily modify the backend HTML of the site by using the following directions.

  1. Go to YouTube and find a video that you like. It doesn't have to be a video that you created.
  2. In the box directly to the right of the video, find to the textbox marked Embed at the bottom of this box.
  3. Click inside the code box next to the word Embed. All of the code text should automatically be highlighted. If not, you'll need to select all of it.
  4. Copy this code. You can copy by right-clicking on your mouse and selecting copy from the drop-down menu, or by holding down Ctrl+C on your keyboard.
  5. Login to the Insurance Website Builder Administration Console
  6. Click the Modify Site Content link
  7. Select the Language you want to modify.  United States English is defualted.
  8. Select the page for which you would like to add the video content.
  9. To modify the default content, select Custom on the Content Type radio button.
  10. At the bottom of the Cotent Window click the  image with your mouse, this will take you to HTML View.
  11. Paste or Type the HTML code from step 4 into the HTML source code exactly where you want the video.
  12. Click the Save button.
