Question / Issue
How do I point my domain to my new website using Yahoo!?

Answer / Solution

Warning - Advanced Configuration
Please note that configuring your own DNS is dangerous and can lead to the disabling of your website and email.  If you desire, our support technicians will be happy to point your domain name for you.

  1. Log in to your account at http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com.
  2. Click Domain Control Panel below the domain you'd like to use with Insurance Website Builder.
  3. Click Manage Advanced DNS Settings.
  4. Under the A and CNAME Records section, click the Edit link on the first A Record row.
  5. In the destination text box type 40.118.204.124
  6. Click the Submit button.
  7. Under the A and CNAME Records section, click the Edit link on the CNAME Record row listed as www.yourdomainname.com.  Where yourdomainname.com is your domain name.
  8. In the destination text box type consumer.insurancewebsitebuilder.com.
  9. Click the Submit button.
  10. Notify the Insurance Website Builder support team that you have completed these changes.

Updating your Mail Records
Only update your mail records if you have already setup your mail within the Insurance Website Builder administration console.  Do not complete these steps if you are keeping your mail at your current provider.

  1. Click Change MX Records.
  2. Clear all existing MX records.
  3. In the first text box, type mx1.emailsrvr.com.
  4. Set the Priority to 10.
  5. Click the Submit button.
